Elizabeth Brandt MA, MT-BC
Music Therapist - Special Needs, Early Childhood, Long Term Care
Beth is a board certified music therapist with over 23 years of experience. She has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including hospitals, music facilities, public schools, private practice, state facilities, nursing homes, sheltered workshops, and at the University of Minnesota music therapy labs.
Beth graduated from the University of MN with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy in 1994 and became board certified in 1997. She continued her education with a MA in Music Therapy in 2003. While at the U of MN, she worked as a teaching graduate assistant and, after graduating, as an adjunct teaching specialist. She has also completed training to be an NMT music therapist and to be a Music Together teacher. She currently is a peer mentor for other music therapists in the Great Lakes Region of AMTA.
In her free time, Ms. Brandt enjoys hanging out with her family, playing with her dogs, coaching ISI figure skating and mini mite hockey classes, teaching bassoon lessons, playing bassoon with several local ensembles, and volunteering at music therapy and school events.
