Ji Mitlyng, MT-BC
Music Therapist - Hospice
Ji is a board-certified music therapist, and completed her education at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts in 2011.
Ji believes that music has power to connect people, to unveil what's yet to be discovered and to express feelings and beliefs beyond words. Therefore, her role as a music therapist is to assist individuals in utilizing music to facilitate these experiences.
Ji was born and raised in South Korea and moved to the US as a teenager. Her love for music and passion for helping others led her to study music therapy, and since then, she has been involved in diverse experiences, including working with children with autism, hospice patients, adults in psychiatric hospital and nursing homes, children with chronic illness and in bereavement groups. Ji also mentored youth when she volunteered at a medical non-profit organization in New Zealand for one year.
Ji enjoys playing the piano and the guitar while singing. She also tries to learn yoga from youtube channels and cook new recipes. However, she is horrible a baker and would rather have someone bake for her :)
