Julie Osmonson, MT-BC
Music Therapist - Long-Term Care, Special Needs
Julie received her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy from the University of Minnesota and completed her internship at Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida in 1993. Her experience includes long-term care, adults with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. She was also part of a team that implemented a Music Therapy internship Site, was a practicum supervisor for U of M students, and served on the Music Therapy Association of Minnesota board for a number of years. Julie has been a piano teacher for over 20 years and also teaches music classes like bucket drumming and boomwhackers in home school co-op settings.
In her free time, Julie enjoys singing on her church’s worship team, watching her 2 children play sports, walking her dog, and volunteering for different events at school.
